A few weeks back I shared a mood board for the bathroom over at the flip house. And I was real excited. I shared it with all of you and you gave the thumbs up and it felt good. But there was something that just didn’t quite fit. But I couldn’t put my finger on it.
That’s probably because I’m not a professional designer. And I’m a very visual person. I’m also a creature of habit and the whole board looked too “new.” I don’t typically do new. I want to stretch myself creatively while putting Donna together, but I also want to stay true to who I am as a decorator and do what I know works.
Fast forward to me looking for kitchen pendant lighting and I found some pretty pendants that I knew could work as a pendant in the bathroom. (Note: The pendants I ordered are out of stock currently. The ones I ordered had milk glass.) Which would add cohesion to the home. This light would also bring a little vintage Victorian flare. Sold.
In true Jessica fashion I then needed to find new vanity lighting. I went back to the saved bathrooms in my Pinterest boards. Not only for Donna but for our home. I discovered I needed a more true vintage look there too.
I scoured eBay but didn’t find anything that was fitting my fancy. I’ll admit that I was in a bit of a rush, which is never good when trying to thrift or salvage. However, we needed lighting marked off the list to know where budget was.
I found the new vanity light at…Pottery Barn. A bit of a splurge, but it happens. They were actually having a sale when I purchased this light though! She’s so pretty and brings the perfect vintage class to this room.
All that being said, here’s the updated plan for the flip house bathroom: What do you think?!

I’m feeling much better about the bathroom situation now. It feels true to my style, but also to Donna. I’m excited to see it come to fruition more than ever now!
To be honest the cabinet color may change too. I know. We’re just flying by the seat of our pants over here folks. We’ve never flipped a house before!
Thanks for stopping by!
